Team Alpine meet up

A chance for the team to catch up and to also get some advice from mountaineer Alex Staniforth

On Monday, the UK based section of Team Alpine met up at Hangin’ Pizzeria for a bite to eat and a drink to get to know each other as some of them hadn’t met before. We were also lucky enough to be joined by Alex Staniforth who has attempted Everest twice but unfortunately has been caught up in two major natural disasters in the process! Alex was able to share his mountaineering expertise and pass on some top tips to the team. We had a lovely evening and lots of ideas were discussed about how to get donations coming in, hopefully raising a significant amount to help the apes.

Don’t forget you can make a donation to our cause on our Just Giving page:

Keep an eye on our blog and social media pages for upcoming events in aid of our Kilimanjaro climb. Every penny really does make all the difference to both of our chosen charities, Ape Action Africa and Orangutan Appeal UK so please dig deep and donate what you can.
