In the summer of 2016 Jacha and his wife Gwyn opened a pizzeria on the Betws-y-Coed railway station complex. Jacha was once again the creative director behind the pizzeria’s decor and design.
When sat in the pizzeria’s relaxed dining area enjoying a deliciously fresh pizza from the wood-fired oven you are being watched over by Jacha’s magnificent ape photographs. And this is really what the pizzeria is all about, helping raise awareness of the fight they face for survival. A percentage from the sale of each pizza is split between Ape Action Africa and Orangutan Appeal UK.
The pizzeria is completely dedicated to apes and like the Alpine Coffee Shop is palm oil free. It serves a small selection of good quality pizzas and salads, lovely wine and beer and delicious desserts. It is dog-friendly – ask about the dog loyalty cards!
